Tomorrow morning I leave to go tree planting. I will be travelling to Timmins, Kapuskasing and Hearst. Our contract with Tembac consists of 4.3 million trees. This will definitely be a huge change from my normal routine. I will have many challenges while I’m gone; on a daily basis I will be dealing with extreme weather conditions, bugs, and walking 25/35km per day. The average tree planter can plant 2500 trees a day. I’m hoping to be around the 2000 mark. I’m excited for this challenge not only because I am going to be living outside for two months but I will also be free from most technology. Of course I will be bringing my camera and iPod. Other than that I will be cut off. It will be a nice break to get away from the internet world. I believe we all could use a break from technology and experience life as it happens. I wish you all an amazing summer, please put down your phones and enjoy each other.
